NFL Week 13 Power Rankings

Well, we are 3/4 of the way through the NFL season and I tell ya what, boy was I wrong about a lot of teams this season. My Super Bowl pick is 4-8, the best division in the NFL is not the NFC East as many would have thought and the Lions still don't have a win. But that's why I love the NFL. Every team comes into each season with a chance to make the playoffs and surprise some people. Just look at teams like the Falcons and Ravens, who many thought would struggle thanks to a rookie QB. Instead, both teams are right in the thick of the race and as we all know, once you get into the playoffs, it's a whole new season.

(NO TEAM LOGOS THIS TIME. I'M TIRED. STILL RECOVERING FROM THE TURKEY DAY HOLIDAY)

1. NY Giants (11-1) - Clearly the favorites to win the Super Bowl. So they may want to lose a few because that's not been a good thing lately. (Next vs. PHI)
2. Tampa Bay (9-3) - Gotta love the way this defense plays. Bothered Drew Brees and the Saints all game. Should be a fun Monday-nighter. (Next Mon. vs. CAR)
3. Atlanta (8-4) - Matt Ryan may be the name you hear but it's Michael Turner that is leading the charge. Oh, and John Abraham is a beast. (Next @ NO)
4. Carolina (9-3) - Good for them for scoring 35 points but the Packers D is miserable. This offense is gonna struggle against the Bucs. (Next Mon. vs. TB)
5. Dallas (8-4) - Obviously, having Tony Romo back is a big deal. Time to really find out how big starting this week vs. the Steelers D. (Next @ PIT)
6. Philadelphia (6-5-1) - I think the win over the Cardinals woke this team up. May be too late but may be enough to save Andy Reid's job. (Next @ NYG)
7. Arizona (7-5) - They've lost 2 in a row and 4 of the 7 wins are against their NFC West opponents. Are they for real? We'll find out in the playoffs. (Next vs. STL)
8. Washington (7-5) - Bad performance against the Giants but this team still has enough talent to turn in 10 wins and challenge for a playoff spot. (Next @ BAL)
9. New Orleans (6-6) - I tell ya, if this team ever got a consistent defense, they'd be a force. Until then, they'll always hover around .500. (Next vs. ATL)
10. Minnesota (7-5) - As good as Adrian Peterson is, is how bad Gus Frerotte is. They may win the division but no way they win a playoff game. (Next @ DET)
11. Green Bay (5-7) - Probably the best team in the division. But the tough losses are adding up. Gonna need a miracle to get in playoffs now. (Next vs. HOU)
12. Chicago (6-6) - The season looked promising in the beginning but the defense is starting to fall apart. That and Kyle Orton is back to being himself. (Next vs. JAX)
13. San Francisco (4-8) - No doubt Mike Singletary keeps his job. This team plays hard under him and he hasn;t dropped his pants a second time. (Next vs. NYJ)
14. St. Louis (2-10) - With Steven Jackson back, they actually are a decent team. But this team likes losing too much now to win again. (Next @ AZ)
15. Seattle (2-10) - Awful Turkey Day for the team. Embarrassed on national television. But really, what did they expect with the team they have? (Next vs. NE)
16. Detroit (0-12) 12 down, 4 to go. Trying to prevent the Bengals from getting the first pick I guess. They can still win a game and be okay. (Next vs. MIN)
1. Tennessee (11-1) - Good Turkey Day for them. First, they stuff the Lions on national Tv. Then, get stuffed with food. Couldn't be better. (Next vs. CLE)
2. Pittsburgh (9-3) - They've had the hardest schedule known to man and yet, have 9 wins. What's next? 3 more really tough games. (Next vs. DAL)
3. Indianapolis (8-4) - I wouldn't want to play the Colts right now. When Peyton and the offense don't score, the defense does. Tough to beat that. (Next vs. CIN)
4. Baltimore (8-4) - I still don't know if Joe Flacco can lead this team in the playoffs. But I know that defense sure can. Big game this week. (Next vs. WAS)
5. NY Jets (8-4) - You had to see this coming. A bad Brett Favre game after some amazing performances. Team still is in fine shape though. (Next @ SF)
6. New England (7-5) - Tough game for Matt Cassel but he'll learn from it. They gotta get their run game going to really become a potent offense. (Next @ SEA)
7. Denver (7-5) - You have to love the Broncos offense. When a runningback like Peyton Hillis can rush for more than 100 yards, it's a good day. (Next vs. KC)
8. Miami (7-5) - Not sure the team is happy about the 16-12 win against STL but they have to be happy with their turnaround from last season. (Next @ BUF in Toronto)
9. San Diego (4-8) - It's just really hard for me to believe they are this bad. Too much talent on both sides to have just 8 wins. Bye Bye Norv? (Next vs. OAK)
10. Houston (5-7) - Nice to see the Texans playing well. Once Matt Schaub comes back in 2009, they will once again be a team to look out for. (Next @ GB)
11. Buffalo (6-6) - No Trent Edwards possibly. Seeing their team crumble before our very eyes. Maybe playing in Canada will give them a spark. (Next vs. MIA in Toronto)
12. Jacksonville (4-8) - This team is a joke. Lack of a good passing game. Running game struggling due to O-Line injuries. And the defense has given up. (Next @ CHI)
13. Kansas City (2-10) - Larry Johnson having a good game is a good sign for the future. Not to mention winning on the road is always nice. (Next @ DEN)
14. Oakland (3-9) - They've beaten NYJ and DEN but can't beat a team like KC. I'm surprised Al Davis hasn't just fired everyone, including himself. (Next @ SD)
15. Cleveland (4-8) - Ken Dorsey is the starter, Winslow is out for the next game, and Romeo is already cleaning out his office. (Next @ TEN)
16. Cincinnati (1-10-1) - The Browns should be thankful for the Bengals. If not, they would be the laughing stock of the Buckeye State. (Next @ IND)

  1. Look out in the NFC North. If the Williams boys are suspended from the Vikings, it's got to be the Packers' title to lose.

  2. Gotta agree with Kyle. All the sudden, the Pack may be back
